Owner, Lek Gjoka, arrived in the United States from Albania in 1998 with no money, and spoke no English. A college graduate with a military background, Gjoka quickly learned English and got a job working in the warehouse of an HVAC company although he had no experience in the heating and cooling industry. Not long after that, he started assisting with the installation of heating and cooling systems. With a work ethic and drive common to many immigrants to America, he studied, worked hard, and became a top-certified service technician for the company he served. In 2006, Gjoka’s dream of citizenship became a reality, and in 2007, he started Cool R Us, Inc A/C & Heating. In the years since, Cool R Us, Inc A/C & Heating has doubled business annually — and Gjoka’s love for his new country has increased as well.
